The first part of the course "understanding the visual culture" was incredibly interesting but also challenging. One of the biggest problems for me was the search for literature. But step by step I try to solve it. An incredible amount of literature shocked me. But I discovered new Authors and modern works on the topic of visual art.

Combining the material with the questions of the tasks was not so difficult, but to see the problem in the light of historical facts, culture and object in the context remains difficult.

The search skill was useful to me as never before. Because a lot of information on the Internet is not relevant to the subject or a lot of third-class information.

Since in the Harvard system of references to information sources and in the OCA Institute work with material’s sources have been described in an accessible and understandable way, the definition of the primate and secondary source of information was not difficult and clear.

Engagement with concepts was challenging but I always tried to be open for all views. Critical thinking is with me but I think the more I go through the course the more supportive my ideas become.

Communication even in my native language was a big challenge for me. I’m too fast with my thoughts so it’s tricky to put all word together in an order and logical way. But at the same moment before writing my essays I prepared a plan and build my opinion as a core of the writing.
